What can you do if you make a factual mistake in a speech?

What will be an ideal response?

If you make a slip of the tongue and your error doesn’t really affect the overall meaning of your presentation, let it go. If what you said is substantially different from what you meant, you have an ethical obligation to stop and correct yourself. Don’t dwell on your error. Just correct it and keep going. Serious errors that materially change your presentation should be corrected verbally.
