How would you resize a rod?
What will be an ideal response?
When resizing a rod:
1. The pressed-fit rod bolts are pounded from the rod.
2. A small amount, usually less than 0.002", is ground off the rod and cap mating surfaces.
3. The rod cap is reinstalled on the rod and the nuts torqued.
4. The rod bore, which is now smaller as a result of grinding, is honed with a rod hone until the original diameter of the rod bore is reached.
