Describe what the difference is between plasma and serum

Plasma contains a large amount of water and four major plasma proteins: albumin, globulin, fibrinogen, and prothrombin. Serum is the thin watery substance that is left after blood has clotted. In other words, serum is plasma minus any blood clotting elements.
