What are some of the ways that federal prisons seek to address the unique challenges and circumstances associated with female inmates?

What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary but should mention that female inmates have different healthcare, psychological, familial, social, and educational needs than their male counterparts and thus programs have been established to meet those needs. Answers may include mention of initiatives to empower female inmates to better prevent, identify, and manage treatment of their healthcare needs, as well as treatment programs to address chronic sexual, physical, and emotional abuse.
Programs for pregnant inmates and their babies should also be discussed. Answers may also mention that programs have developed to address the different familial challenges presented by female inmates as opposed to male offenders.
