Discuss how excessive sitting is dangerous to a person's health.

What will be an ideal response?

The human body was created for movement and activity. Excessive sitting increases the risk factors for several diseases, including cardiovascular disease and diabetes. It leads to weaker muscles, a sluggish nervous system, increased fatigue, decreased insulin sensitivity, higher blood pressure, decreased activity of lipoprotein lipase, and increased cholesterol and triglycerides. Sitting causes back pain because it causes back muscle to shorten and become weaker.
