Schara would like to know whether it is worthwhile to require students to do weekly statistics homework assignments. For one section of the course, homework is assigned, collected, and graded each week. Ans: An independent samples t test suggested that students who were not assigned homework in the class had lower grades (M = 70%, SD = 13.23%) than students who were assigned homework in the class (M = 85%, SD = 10%), t(12) = - 2.39, p < .05, d = -1.28, 95% CI [-28.66, -1.34]. Therefore, Schara should require that her students do homework assignments during the semester.
