Explain the problems that are likely to be faced in trading off criteria during the process of fortifying an option

Trading off one criterion for another can be straightforward if the two have the same metric. When two criteria are measured on different metrics, the trade-offs can be more difficult. We need self-regulation skill to monitor and correct, if needed, our tendency to trade away too many important things to get that one feature that attracts us so much.
