What is the relationship between backlash and helical gears?

What will be an ideal response?

Helical gears are much quieter and have replaced spur gears in transmissions. They are machined at an angle, which gives them a continuous flow of power across the gear teeth. Engagement starts at the tip of one end of the gear tooth and rolls across the tooth. This keeps backlash to a minimum and makes these gears quieter.
