Ans: It has been observed that in families afflicted with drug use, there is a relationship between parental substance abuse and the children’s subsequent alcohol and drug abuse. More specifically, mothers and daughters show similar patterns of drug use and rely largely on prescription drug use. On the other hand, the father–son relationship shows patterns of similar drug use and relies heavily on alcohol and tobacco usage.
