Briefly explain the concept of "Zone of Proximal Development."
What will be an ideal response?
The zone of proximal development (ZPD) is the level at which students can no longer solve problems on their own. It is the level of optimal instruction because it builds on the individual student's knowledge and experience. A teacher or more knowledgeable peer helps the student to understand concepts, skills and ideas just above their mastery level, supporting them in growing and learning at the exact place where they need instruction.
