The Keyspan by Tripp Lite High-Speed USB Serial Adapter consists of a USB cable and connector and a standard DB9 serial connector on the front of the adapter. The USB connector plugs into the personal computer, whereas a Rockwell Automation 1756-CP3 null modem cable plugs into the DB9 connector. The other end of the serial cable plugs into the controller's serial port as usual.
