What is a channel? Give three examples.

What will be an ideal response?

In communications, the channel is the path or medium for communication between source and destination. When we are speaking to someone, the path is the air or environment around us through which our voice travels. In computer to computer communications, the path is more complex, consisting of the cabling and devices that interconnect our two communicating devices. Finally, in sending a text message to your friend, the communication channel consists of the air between you and a cell tower, any number of other cell towers, the cell provider’s network, the destination cell tower, and the air between the final cell tower and your friend.
