Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of oral, written, electronic, and nonverbal communication. Specify which method would be best to send an important message, such as the resignation of a position?

What will be an ideal response?

Oral communication is quick and misunderstandings can be cleared up just as
quick. However, it is informal with the message possibly being lost or forgotten. Written
communication can be carefully drafted and archived. However, the sender does not
always know if the message has been interpreted correctly. Electronic communication is more of an informal way to communicate compared to written communication and used
to reach large groups of people at once. It is not the best way to send negative news
because it does not provide an adequate means for expressing emotions. Nonverbal
communications are the wordless cues given between people. This is not a way to give
a direct message, but instead a way to supplement a message. The best way to resign
would be to write a formal letter so that you have time to review the message and the
message can be saved in your file.
