Champion, also called internal salespeople or advocates, work for the buying company in the area most affected by a proposed change and work with the salesperson to make the proposed change successful. These champions can build momentum for the proposal by selling in arenas or during times that are off limits to the salesperson. Champions may also help to persuade the firm to purchase the new system and to help implement the system once the change is made. Salespeople can help potential champions by providing them with all of the knowledge they will need to make their case for the change.
