Describe the contributions of and challenges facing feminist criminology.

What will be an ideal response?

Feminist theory and methodology has led to new understanding of gender and crime, such as the feminist pathways approach. Feminist criminologists have also worked at identifying how issues such as race, class, and sexuality impact criminality. Lastly, developments in feminist research have also addressed the significant relationship between victimization and offending. However, feminist criminology also faces a few challenges, such as expanding the discussion on the intersections of gender, race, and class. They also need to continue to pursue opportunities to link their research and activism.
