Using the storyboard templates provided, sketch out a few moments of gameplay. Include arrows to indicate directions of motion. How does the gameplay need to change to fit the new format?

What will be an ideal response?

You should use the storyboard templates that were provided for Exercise 3. Instead of focusing on a static playfield and interface elements, students should map out various gameplay elements – showing how player actions might trigger events in the game. (If students have already completed Exercise 3, they can add to what they’ve already created.) Arrows may be included to indicate directions of motion. As an option, rotating the storyboard templates will provide a different perspective on both screen real estate and gameplay; students may redesign and refine as needed. (As an alternative, a flowchart may be used for this exercise to show the interdependencies of actions.)
