Describe the Background layer. How is it different from a regular layer?
What will be an ideal response?
The Background layer is the default layer of any new Photoshop file. All other layers go above the Background layer, and you cannot change the stacking order, blending mode, or opacity of a Background layer. Double-click on the Background layer in the Layers panel and rename it to convert it to a regular layer. With a regular layer, you can create transparent content, move it anywhere, and change the blending modes.
