What is the difference between an ectotherm, an endotherm and a heterotherm?

What will be an ideal response?

Ectotherms use behavior and the environment to control their body temperature. Endotherms control their temperatures internally through metabolism and have insulating layers to help maintain a constant temperature. Heterotherms use metabolic body heat to maintain a constant body temperature at times, while at other times they allow their body temperature to fluctuate with the environment.
