Explain the idea of transgenic animals as "bioreactors."

What will be an ideal response?

The biotechnology product is made in the milk or eggs of the animal. For this to occur,
the gene that produces the product of interest is inserted into the organism via transgenic
techniques, and then the animal is raised to adulthood. The product is engineered to be isolated
from the animal's milk or eggs, thus causing no harm to the animal.
