In a brief paragraph, differentiate between ethnicity and race

What will be an ideal response?

Ethnic groups have been defined as "an involuntary collectivity of people with a shared feeling of common identity, a sense of peoplehood, and a shared sense of interdependence of fate. These feelings derive, in part, from a common ancestral origin, a common set of values, and a common set of experiences." Everyone belongs to at least one ethnic group. The concept of race is used to distinguish among human beings on the basis of biological traits and characteristics. Numerous racial categories have been proposed, but because of the diversity among humans and the mixing of genes that has taken place over time, no single set of racial categories is universally accepted.
