What are the major air pollutants that affect exercise performance? What are their effects on the body?

What will be an ideal response?

The major air pollutants are zone and carbon monoxide. Ozone is produced by a chemical reaction between sunlight and automobile exhaust. Ozone irritates the tissues in the lungs and airways, causing headache, coughing, nausea throat and eye irritation, bronchoconstriction, and can potentially trigger an asthma attack. Carbon monoxide is produced by the burning of fossil fuels and is present in cigarette smoke. Carbon monoxide binds to the hemoglobin in the blood, reducing the blood's capacity to carry oxygen to muscle tissue during exercise.
