There are two acceptable ways: notes or source references. Source references are most commonly used in the social sciences. When quoting directly, the page number must be additionally included. Online references should be cited in the same way; if no date is indicated on the item, the term "no date" should be inserted into the parenthetical reference. After completing all in-text references, all references should be listed in a separate section called references. This must include all sources previously referenced in the report. References should appear in alphabetical order by the first author's last name. Et al., which can be used in-text, should not appear in the references section. All author names should be listed.
