Transactional leadership is when one person takes the initiative, making contact with others for the purpose of the exchange of valued things, transformational, on the other hand, is when one or more persons engage with others in a way in which the leader and nonleader raise one another to higher levels of motivation and morality. Transformational leadership motivates followers to produce more than expected by raising follower consciousness about the importance and value of certain goals.
