Why is the start of college such a stressful time for so many students?

What will be an ideal response?

When students start college, everything about their experience is new. While meeting new people and beginning their studies is exciting for most students, entering a new environment also brings new challenges and demands (for example, finding one's way around campus, getting used to classes, getting to know people, and so on). Responding to these demands often causes students to feel stress.
