Differentiate between the warrior and guardian mentalities of policing.

What will be an ideal response?

The warrior mentality of policing advocates for an aggressive approach to policing while emphasizing the constant dangers of police work. This hyperaggressive style of police work is often referred to as militarism, as it meshes military training and weaponry with traditional law enforcement strategies. To counterbalance militarism and the warrior approach, many law enforcement agencies across the country are turning toward a guardian mentality of policing. As the name implies, the guardian approach stresses nonconfrontational tactics to strengthen the bonds between police officers and the communities that they "guard over." Guardians are officers who treat people humanely, who show them respect, who explain their actions, and who can improve the perceptions of officers, or their departments, even when they are arresting someone.?
