ABC Chemical company was forced to lay off numerous employees because of loss of business

John and a handful of other employees, as well as many of those suffering because of the layoff, decide to protest the layoff by creating a blockage at the entrance to the plant, thereby preventing shipping and receiving of goods. ABC management personnel confront the individuals in a peaceable manner in hopes to negotiate an agreement to allow the business to operate as it should. John suddenly picks up a rock and throws it at one of the members of management. Six of the protestors join suit and begin throwing rocks at the management personnel. One of the victims had to be transported to hospital by helicopter because of severe injuries received from the rocks. John and many of the other protestors fight the law enforcement officers who arrive to bring order to the protest. What charges may be filed against John? What charges may be filed against the other six? May charges be filed against the other members of the protest?
