Explain the process of healthy adaptation in Erikson’s developmental stages.

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: An individual passes through the developmental stages. At each stage, the ego faces age-related changes resulting in conflict. The ego can weaken or strengthen depending on the adaptation capacity. If there is a healthy adaptation, then a positive outcome occurs. If the crisis is not resolved, the ego loses strength and results in poor adaptation.
