Discuss some of the trade-off s in using renewable and nonrenewable energy sources to provide heating for your home.
What will be an ideal response?
Nonrenewable sources have a higher energy value per unit mass, so not as much oil or
gas is needed to be stored or consumed to produce the heat required. Using renewable
energy sources, such as wood, requires much more mass. For instance, the wood would
have to be stored and brought into the house. The ease of use is less.
