Compare the orexigens.

What will be an ideal response?

The orexigens include MCH and orexin. They are "appetite-inducing." When either of these are injected into an animal's lateral ventricles, they will induce eating behavior. There are receptors for both of these peptides in the lateral hypothalamus. MCH appears to be more important for stimulating feeding, whereas orexin and MCH play a role in motivation.
