Compare interest group membership in America to that of other democracies.

What will be an ideal response?

Americans join only certain kinds of organizations more frequently than citizens of other democratic countries. We are no more likely than the British to join social, business, professional, veterans', or charitable organizations, and we are less likely to join labor unions. We have a reputation as joiners, but this reputation arises chiefly out of our unusually high tendency to join religious and civic associations specifically.
