Much has been said about violence in the media and its effect on children and adolescents. According to Bandura's social learning theory, can humans learn to be violent by watching violence? Explain

Identify two factors that could influence modeling of violent behavior; use an example to illustrate the effect of each factor.

What will be an ideal response?

According to Bandura's social learning theory, humans can become violent when they watch violence if four factors are present. If individuals pay attention to a violent model, remember how a violent act was committed, are physically capable of reproducing the act, and are motivated to imitate the behavior, they can become violent.
Factors that influence modeling might include the model's attractiveness, success or social status. Observed consequences to the model are also important factors.
