What will be an ideal response?

ANSWER: The medical assistant‘s role is to remain professional, support the physician, and offer emotional support to the patient. The medical assistant in this situation should be completely prepared for the examination by having all of the items the physician will need ready and set up ahead of time. This allows for the examination to be quicker and easier on both the patient and the physician. The medical assistant should be prepared to adjust draping and help position the patient while maintaining the patient's privacy. The medical assistant should also be prepared to offer comfort to the patient by speaking calmly and seeing to the patient's comfort. The medical assistant might also offer the patient some water after the exam allowing the patient a few minutes to compose herself.
