What will be an ideal response?

Essay should include:

Carl Rogers' client-centered therapy focuses on people's natural tendencies towards growth and fulfillment and the difficulties people have in achieving self-actualization. Client centered therapy involves creating a warm, accepting atmosphere in which the client feels free to express themselves and explore issues. The therapist's role is one of warm acceptance, which in turn, encourages the client's self-esteem and acceptance. Client centered therapy is non-directive. In short, it has the characteristics of unconditional positive regard, empathy towards the client's feelings, and genuineness in responding to the client. Gestalt therapy, originated by Fritz Perls, encourages individuals to reclaim the parts of themselves that they have disowned. He encourages integration, or Gestalt, of the personality through directive techniques such as planned experiences.
