What makes your game unique in terms of interface? Do you foresee challenges in breaking away from the genre’s established interface canon?
What will be an ideal response?
Students should describe their proposed interfaces in detail and discuss what makes their interfaces unique. There’s a fine line between uniqueness and the stability of following interface standards. It’s important for students to understand which standards (often associated with particular genres) are generally used – but then come up with some interesting “twists” that will make their games special. After coming up with these unique elements, students should analyze possible challenges they may face (e.g., player confusion, unintentional errors, awkward visual design) when implementing them.
