What will be an ideal response?
Answers will vary. Nonconsumptive use is the removal or diversion of water from its source, followed to the subsequent return to its source. For instance, the use by a municipality for water supply and the return after water treatment. Comsumptive use refers to the permanent removal of water from its source. Examples include water consumed by humans, or livestock or used in manufacturing. Instream use is the use of streamflow in the channel, such as for transportation, fishing, or hydroelectric power.
