What is the difference between a primary and secondary cell wall in plants?

What will be an ideal response?

A primary cell wall forms on the outside of young plant cells. It is made by cell secretions and cellulose strands. Being thin and pliable, a primary wall allows a growing plant cell to enlarge and change shape.

In some plants, mature cells secrete material (such as lignin) onto the primary wall's inner surface. These deposits form a firm secondary wall. Plant parts with secondary cell walls are stronger, more waterproof, and less susceptible to plant-attacking organisms than younger tissues.
