Hofstede asserts that the worldview undergirding organization theory varies by country. Identify world views associated with each country. Do you agree with designated worldview for each of the countries? Why or why not?

Hofstede argues that nationality has a large influence on organization theories, noting particularly that European organization theory shares some commonalities with that of the United States, but there are also some striking differences. Indeed, Hofstede suggests philosophical differences in the way scholars in different European countries theorize about organizations. In his analysis, Hofstede asserts that organization theory is always constructed according to a worldview about where organizations come from, the foundation on which they are built. This worldview, he argues, is tied up in culture and varies from nation to nation. He names a variety of countries with different organizational theories undergirding their worldviews: Britain (systems), China (the family), eastern European nations (efficiency), France (power), Germany (order), Netherlands (consensus), Nordic countries (equality), and the United States (the market). Students may have varying opinions on the veracity of these worldviews.
