Briefly describe the relationship between age and crime.
What will be an ideal response?
Crime is highest in adolescence and young adulthood, and tends to decrease with age. Those who continue to commit crime beyond this point tend to "age out" in their 40s. There is some debate as to whether the "aging out" process is a universal process (i.e., true of all crimes and individuals).
