- A touchpad is a touch-sensitive surface on which you can tap and slide your fingers to manipulate the pointer, menus, and other objects on the screen.
- A trackball looks like a mechanical mouse turned upside down. You use your fingers, thumb, or palm to roll the ball and move the pointer.
- A game controller looks like a small version of a car's stick shift. Moving the stick provides input to on-screen objects, such as the pointer in a computer game.
