Why is Pluto now considered to be a Kuiper-belt object?

What will be an ideal response?

The distance, ellipticity, and inclination of Pluto's orbit are all similar to those of Kuiper-belt objects. Pluto's icy composition is also similar to Kuiper-belt objects. Pluto is in an orbital resonance with Neptune, like many Kuiper-belt objects.
