Explain the possible impact of removing such designations like Asperger syndrome

What will be an ideal response?

This removal of terms such as Asperger syndrome can cause confusion among educators and service providers. Students with the previous designation of Asperger syndrome were identified by a unique set of characteristics that were inherently different than those with autistic disorder. There were specific interventions that worked with that specific population of students. Putting all of the students under one categorical label, regardless of stating level one, two or three, can cause difficulty in finding the appropriate interventions.
