Describe a network printer.
What will be an ideal response?
A network printer is a printer that a user has decided to share. For the user's machine it is a local printer. But other users on the network can map to the network printer and use it as if it were their own printer. A network printer can also be a printer with only a network connection that is shared by a server. In either case, it is necessary to install the printer on your machine before you can begin using it over the network.
