What will be an ideal response?
Placement of branching questions is important and the following guidelines should be followed: 1. the question being branched (the one to which the respondent is being directed) should be placed as close as possible to the question causing the branching, and 2. the branching questions should be ordered so that the respondents cannot anticipate what additional information will be required. Otherwise, the respondents may discover that they can avoid detailed questions by giving certain answers to branching questions.
