Using outside sources, provide an example of each of the following symbiotic relationships: mutualism, parasitism, commensalism, and amensalism

What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary:
Mutualism should be an example where both organisms benefit, such lichen, clownfish and sea anemones, or bison and prairie dogs. Parasitism should focus on one organism benefiting at the expense of the other, such as mistletoe or lice. Commensalism should include an example where one benefits and the other gains no benefit, such as an ephiphytic plant or animals attaching to others for transportation. Amensalism should look at where one organism is harmed and the other does not benefit, e.g. allelopathy.

Oxygen in itself is a very reactive element. It binds quickly to other materials. Remember, free oxygen only became abundant in our atmosphere when photosynthetic organisms began producing more. Thus, if there is a large amount of free oxygen, then there is something present that is replacing it in the atmosphere. This is likely to be a life-form of some sort.
