Describe Kinch's model of the connection between self-concept and communication. In your description, be sure to define and explain each of the four elements. Explain how the four elements are arranged and why
What will be an ideal response?
Kinch's model consists of four dimensions. First, our perceptions of how others respond to us affect our self-concept. Second, our self-concept affects how we behave. Third, our behavior is directly
related to how others react to our behavior. Finally, actual responses of others relate to our
perceptions of others' responses. The model illustrates, more specifically, the process of developing
social self-concept, where each person's view of their self is affected by, and affects, another person's
behavior.
