It is the political order characterized by the broad provision of social and economic welfare benefits for its citizens. Social rights are a part of this welfare state and they include health-care insurance, old-age pensions, unemployment benefits, a minimum wage floor for workers, and a host of other economic and social benefits. Social rights came after civil and political rights and have been won by groups mobilizing their interests.
