Evaluate whether sexual addiction exists
What will be an ideal response?
Some researchers suggest that sexual addiction is a condition where men and women are unable to control or stop sexual behaviors. Such addiction is often seen as an attempt to hide feelings of loneliness, emptiness, or disgust. This person may feel unloved and mistake sexual interaction for love. On the other hand, other researchers suggest that the notion of sexual addiction is a phenomenon of our culture rather than a valid diagnosis. They believe that it is a myth because some behavior is considered normal in other cultures and sex is not something that must be given up as in other addictions.
