Using your textbook or your state or local diet manual, describe the principles of a gastric partitioning diet

Food has to be extremely soft or liquified in the mouth by excessive chewing. If this is not possible, it needs to be liquified prior to eating. The diet should be very low fat; "table" sugar, alcohol, and caffeine should be avoided; if snacks are eaten, they should be without kcals, i.e., sugar substitute, diet drinks, raw vegetables if chewed well enough (some physicians may not allow raw vegetables, especially at first). Meals should be small, with liquids 30 minutes before or after a meal, not during; a vitamin/mineral supplement should be taken daily; at least 8 glasses of fluid should be consumed.
