The systems perspective sees human behavior as the outcome of interactions within and among systems of interrelated parts. Systems theory attempts to explain the complexity of human life. It also looks at the various risk factors and protective factors in the various parts of a person's life, and can seek to mitigate those risk factors while capitalizing on the protective factors.
