Explain consequential damages. Give an example
Consequential damages are those that do not arise directly out of a breach but are a foreseeable result of the breach. Consequential damages include lost profits and injury to a person or property resulting from defective performance. For example, if Frank leases a defective machine which results in $2,000 of property damage and $5,000 in personal injuries, Frank may recover $7,000 in consequential damages.
